One sure thing about arthritis is that every few years a new wonder drug emerges and just as surely, it turns out to be even more dangerous than the last. Well the latest drug seems to have outdone itself, even the makers admit it is dangerous. What is more worrying is that despite lots of warning signs, those guardians of public health, the FDA, have shockingly approved it!
Cimzia has already been used to treat Crohn’s disease and this is known to be a very dangerous drug. Now it has been licensed for the treatment of Rheumatoid Arthritis. We all know that this is a particularly painful type of Arthritis, but there are far better treatments available. Even some of the top American doctors advocate elimination diets befre going anywhere near drugs as there is lots of evidence that this approach is more effective.
RA is effectively caused by an over-active immune system which mistakenly attacks the body. This manifests in a wide variety of arthritic conditions. Almost everytime this can be managed by either identifying what is causing this response and eliminating it, or using an immune modulator to bring the body back into balance. Both of these are straightforward, natural approaches that don’t require you to go anywhere near these sorts of drugs.
A quick trip to the manufactuers website will confirm your worst suspisions about this drug. Under the list of side effects and complications, you will find delights such as:
- TB
- Lymphoma and other cancers!
- Infections
- Heart attacks
- Anaphylaxis – I.e. shock which can cause heart Attacks.
