If you feel interested in it, sure why not? I'm planning on majoring in psychology when I'm older. Hence why I go on this section a lot. :P
References :
Is there a college or university nearby? Take a class in it and see if you like it, if you can afford to do that.

Otherwise, you might try the MIT OpenCourseWare web site (see link). They have recorded lectures from different professors (some are video, some just audio). You can download them for free. Also on the web site they have assigned reading materials, slides for the lectures, etc. If you really like this stuff, then look into getting a degree.
References :
http://ocw.mit.edu/OcwWeb/Brain-and-Cognitive-Sciences/index.htm

Is it because you secretly think there's something wrong with YOU but can't bring yourself to admit it? So you check and answer Mental Health questions to make yourself feel better?
I know that's why I do it!! ;)
References :
You don't say how old you are so the steps would be different depending on age. IF you're an adult you'll either have to go to college or go back. Psychology on and undergraduate level is minimal it's studied much more thoroughly on a graduate level. So get you BA from a good academic college than get your master's or PH. D in psychology and you can be a therapist. It would depend on what you want to do in the psychology field that would determine if you need a master's or a PH. D. IF you just want the ability to be a therapist or a school counselor you can do that with a Master's. IF you want to teach or test or be the head of programs you'll need your PH. D. which is the highest academic degree that you can achieve. IF you want to be able to prescribe medications you'll have to go to medical school to be come a doctor and specialize in psychiatry which means that you'll be a psychiatrist. That means that you have to go to medical school do a internship and a residency. So it would depend on what you want to do and how much time you want to spend in school to do it.
References :
Go to school and make a living from something you like. You can get a associates or bachelors online, or you can go to regular college. Or, you can get all your pre-requistes from a junior or a community college because its much cheaper and then go to regular college. You have a lot of options.Good luck, my friend
References :
I would take classes in psychology in college and if you're interested in it, you can major in psychology. Then if you feel this is what you want to do for a career, you can go to graduate school and study psychology. that's what I did.
References :
Why am I on yahoo answering questions in the mental health section everyday.?
Should I go to school for psychology. Im really interested in it, and it would make more sense then learning about it through reading on the internet. What steps should I take in this.
